Understanding Reports

Clickyard reports provide AI-powered insights about what drives conversions on your website. Learn how to read and act on these insights.

What's in a Report?

Each Clickyard report analyzes user behavior patterns and provides:

Conversion Drivers

Elements that positively correlate with conversions — interacting with these increases the likelihood of conversion.

Potential Distractions

Elements that might be distracting users from converting — excessive engagement with these correlates with lower conversion rates.

Audience Segments

Analysis by traffic source, device type, and other dimensions to understand which audiences convert best.

AI Recommendations

Actionable suggestions generated by AI based on the statistical analysis of your data.

Generating a Report

Prerequisites

Before generating a report, make sure you have:

  • At least 100 sessions in the selected date range
  • At least 10 conversions (more is better)
  • Conversion goals configured
  • UI zones marked (at least 3-5)

Steps

  1. Go to your Clickyard dashboard
  2. Find your website and select the desired date range
  3. Optionally, apply filters (UTM, landing page)
  4. Click "Generate Report"
  5. Wait for the analysis to complete (usually 1-2 minutes)

Reading Your Report

Key Metrics

At the top of your report, you'll see overall statistics:

Sessions

Total unique visits analyzed

Conversion Rate

Percentage of sessions that converted

Conversions

Total successful conversions

Zone Analysis

Each marked zone is analyzed for its correlation with conversions. You'll see:

Positive Correlation

Users who interacted with this zone were more likely to convert. Consider making this element more prominent or easier to interact with.

Negative Correlation

Users who spent excessive time on this zone were less likely to convert. This might indicate confusion, distraction, or a poor user experience.

Neutral

No statistically significant correlation was found. This could mean the element doesn't strongly influence conversion decisions either way.

Interaction Metrics Explained

For each zone, Clickyard tracks several interaction types:

View Time

How long the element was visible in the user's viewport. Longer view times can indicate interest or confusion.

Hover Time

Time spent with the cursor over the element. High hover time suggests the user is considering or reading content.

Clicks

Number of clicks on the element. Multiple clicks on non-interactive elements might indicate UX issues.

AI-Generated Insights

At the end of each report, you'll find AI-generated insights and recommendations. These are written in plain language and include:

  • Summary of key findings
  • Specific recommendations for optimization
  • Priority actions to improve conversions
  • Areas that need further investigation

Statistical Significance

Clickyard uses Bayesian statistical analysis to ensure findings are reliable and not due to random chance.

What this means: When Clickyard reports a correlation, there's high confidence (typically 95%+) that the pattern is real and not just statistical noise.

Findings that don't meet the significance threshold are marked as "inconclusive" — you may need more data before drawing conclusions.

Acting on Insights

1

Amplify conversion drivers

Make positively correlated elements more prominent — bigger CTAs, better placement, more visibility.

2

Investigate distractions

For negatively correlated elements, consider: Is the content confusing? Is it necessary? Could it be moved or simplified?

3

Run A/B tests

Use insights as hypotheses for A/B tests. Clickyard tells you what to test, but controlled experiments confirm causation.

4

Monitor over time

Generate reports regularly (weekly or bi-weekly) to track improvements and catch new patterns as they emerge.
